Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley. The defendant in a commercial bus stabbing in Newburgh will now spend 10 years behind bars. Maleek Philips, 38, faces 10 years in prison and five years post-release supervision after he pled guilty in January to attempted assault in the first degree.
