By Tony Aiello Updated on: September 30, 2022 / 6:44 PM / CBS New York NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Newburgh, a city with many new residents, is dealing with an old problem: gun violence.A man was killed and a 5-year-old was shot in the leg on Thursday. CBS2's Tony Aiello spoke with the boy's grandmother. A 7-year-old stayed home from school and safely inside Friday, just feet from the scene where her neighbor was shot dead and her 5-year-old brother was hit during a barrage of gunfire the night before. "The people, they need to stop using guns for stupid things," said Laura Cruz, the boy's grandmother.
